Homeless Migrants/ NoJobs??
NO need to bypass other Countries and go to France and come to the UK. Even the Refugees who have been given Asylum should have stopped at the nearest Country to their own.
Migrants shouldn't come to Britain; they should go to a larger Country for asylum, as Britain is an island.
If you are fleeing a Country, go to the nearest Country to their Country of origin instead of taking a dangerous journey across the Channel and also not paying People Smugglers thousands of pounds (or euros).
What would the Migrants do if they knew that there are Migrants who are Homeless on British Streets because there is nowhere for them to live like the Smugglers promised them or any jobs for them to do??
The UK can get workers that it needs by employing those who come to the UK legally and pay for their own accommodation and have a legal job to come to pre-arranged with a UK Employer.
Also, we may be fair, but would they still come if their were no FREE Benefits
Housed in a Hotel for free.
No money for Food or other expenses.
No Free Mobiles, or games stations etc
No Free Activities like Tennis Lessons.
In the UK the Home Office grants asylum when they accept an applicant's story and evidence and agree that they need protection.
If granted asylum, the applicant is given leave to remain in the UK.
BUT As of March 23, 2025, it's impossible to provide an exact number of migrants and refugees who were refused asylum and told to leave the UK and are now homeless. However, data indicates a significant rise in homelessness among those leaving asylum accommodation, with local councils in England accepting a substantial number of households needing help after becoming homeless due to having to leave such accommodation.
I have been checking out information and have also found out the following:
Clearing the UK’s Asylum Backlog Has Led To Rising Refugee Homelessness
Of Those Who Are Granted Asylum
They are given 28 Days To leave Accomodation provided by the Government (Hotels?)
Do refugees get free housing in the UK?
In the UK, refugees are not automatically entitled to free housing, asylum seekers may receive temporary support from the Home Office, which includes housing and basic living expenses while their claim is being considered.
Once granted refugee status, individuals are expected to find their own housing and may need to seek government assistance like any other UK resident. However, finding a home is the hard part due to the lack of available housing. Refugees and Migrants only have 28 days to find a Home, and then they have to leave their Accommodation, which then makes them homeless and possibly living on the streets in a Tent.
Migrant Households:
Non-UK citizens were the head of 22% of households assessed as either homeless or at risk of homelessness in the financial year 2023/2024.
Refugee Homelessness:
In 2023/24, NACCOM recorded 1,941 refugee adults who were made homeless, a 99% increase from the previous year.

How many homeless people are there in the UK In 2025
My overall view is they should be processed and then returned to their Country Of Origin because of the following...
We don't know if they have a criminal record.
Who they really are- their age or where they came from.
Most have been found without identification, as they have disposed of their Passports or Other Identification, including Mobile Phones. This means that they are economic migrants or criminals. If they were refugees coming from a war-torn country, they would want us to help them, so withholding information about their country of origin or their identity would be counterproductive to getting Refuge even if it was only temporary till their Country Of Origin was safe to return to.
Also, they would have stopped at the nearest safe Country to their country of origin and applied for Asylum.
They should not be housed in the UK or given Citizenship at the taxpayer's expense or be given any benefits as they have not paid any tax and would need to be here at least 10 years without any employment breaks to be considered for any benefits.
Also, if they were Refugees, then that means they should only be here temporarily anyway, till their Country is safe again.
As we don't have the infrastructure, Britain is only an Island, and we don't have the space to house all these illegal migrants, and housing them in Hotels... and the extra expense for each migrant is Bankrupting Britain.
If they paid People Smugglers to come over on a Boat and paid thousands to get to the UK, they should all be treated as possible economic migrants or potential criminals who have escaped from their country of origin, as they have no identification on them. They should just be processed and instantly deported with no leave to return.
When we return them, we shouldn't have to pay Migrants thousands of pounds to every Migrant, to return them to their Country of Origin.
Their country Of Origin should not be paid to take them back, they should pay the UK for all the Billions we have spent on the migrants who came across illegally to the UK by Boat from their Country.
We should also stop ALL Aid payments to their Country Of Origin, they Should look after their own Citizens. Some of the Countries we pay Aid to are not Poor.
I was asked the following questions on my view on Asylum for those coming across from France by Boat and then trying to claim asylum
I was given the following choices:
Strongly support, tend to support, Tend to oppose
Strongly oppose or don't know:
Question1:
The Government should prioritize reducing the number of people seeking asylum that are living in Hotels as rapidly as possible, even if this means relaxing the conditions for granting people asylum.
I picked Strongly oppose -as my view is that they should be processed and then returned to their Country Of Origin because ...
We don't know if they have a criminal record, and we need to get Photos and fingerprints to keep on file with a reference number attached to be kept on a National Database so that we can thoroughly check every Migrant who has come across to the UK illegally from France. As Many will not need to come to the UK as they won't have come from a War-torn Country.
Question 2:
The Government should prioritise ensuring that the process for granting Asylum remains rigorous, even if this means that the number of people who are living in hotels stays high.
I picked strongly support - Remain rigorous, the process should be made even harder, anyone claiming Asylum should be returned to their country of origin to await an asylum decision and be asked to provide More Evidence of the need for Asylum and proof of real I.D, Photographic legal proof from their country of origin.
Question 3:
And to what extent, if at all, would you support or oppose this:
Temporary Housing:
If the properties would only be used to house people seeking asylum for up to a year and then become Council properties that local authorities could use to house people in the area who needed housing.
I picked Strongly Oppose- My reason would be Where would the Asylum Seekers be housed after a year? Or would the Government just let them stay and go back on the houses, becoming Council properties?
Question 4:
To what extent would you support or oppose local authorities and housing associations using the money spent on accommodation for people seeking Asylum in combination with borrowed money to buy properties to house people seeking asylum instead?
I picked Strongly oppose- As, there are Britsh Legal Citizens who were born in the UK who have been waiting on housing lists, some of them for years living in hotels with children or even elderly people with illnesses that are difficult to manage due to cramped conditions, having to share bathrooms etc; and not having cooking facilities.
My overall view is they should be processed and then returned to their Country Of Origin because of the following...
We don't know if they have a criminal record.
So we need to get Photos and fingerprints to keep on file with a reference number attached to be kept on a National Database so that we can thoroughly check every Migrant who has come across to the UK illegally from France.
Legal British Citizens
We have empty housing stock we could renovate and use for all the Legal British Citizens, but we can't afford to build any more housing in Britain for all the Illegal Migrants that have come to Britain and are still coming across to Britain in Boats.
If they paid People Smugglers to come over on a Boat and paid thousands to get to the UK, they should all be treated as possible economic migrants or potential criminals who have escaped from their country of origin, as they have no identification on them. They should just be processed and instantly deported with no leave to return.
Many will not need to come to the UK as they won't have come from a War-torn Country.
Most Migrants who are coming across in Boats from France are Economic Migrants, many of which won'' pay tax as they will take cash-only employment or jobs that are below the Personal Tax Allowance which at the time of writing this Blog is £12,570 per year ( £242 per week. £1,048 per month).
We don't know who they are, their age or where they came from.
Most have been found without identification, as they have disposed of their Passports or Other Identification.
Also, we can't afford to accommodate Illegal Migrants in Hotels...all the Illegal Migrants that have come to the UK and those still coming over, or House all the Illegal Migrants that have come across to the UK illegally in boats, as we don't have enough land to build houses for legal British citizens born in the UK and all the illegal Migrants coming across to the UK we only have brownfield and greyfield land to use for building on, and it would be foolhardy to start to use any Green belt land as it would lead to flooding to use any green belt land in towns.... and it is needed for school playing fields etc, we also need our countryside for leisur and Farming to provide food for the UK population,... Our Green Belt areas are also good for our mental health.
And our fields have a very important use as well - Natural grass, as a living plant, absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This process allows grass to act as a carbon sink, helping mitigate the effects of greenhouse gas emissions. As natural grass grows, it stores carbon within its biomass and soil.
Also, asylum seekers, including Refugees, should not be given any priority over housing, and they should not be given any Social Housing (Council Homes or Flats). The legal citizens of the UK by Birth should be prioritized for housing, asylum seekers should not be given priority over housing or be entitled to any benefits.
If Legal Migrants apply and they are accepted. They should find full-time employment and their own rented Housing and fund the payment for the housing themselves before they are allowed to come to Britain. They should also be issued with Identity Cards linked to their Request Papers.
Any Asylum Seekers, including those who have been given refugee status, should be deported if they break any laws in the UK, and they should be returned to their Country of origin, even if they were allowed to bring their Family with them as part of the Asylum decision, with no leave to return
Their Asylum or Legal Migration should not be granted if they have a Criminal Record or were in possession of any drugs when they came over to the UK illegally in a boat from France.
Civil Service And Government Decisions!
The Civil Service should prioritize helping to ensure that government decisions are properly scrutinized and avoiding mistakes even if this means that it takes longer to implement policies.
They should not prioritise helping the Government to deliver policies faster.
To claim asylum in the UK, anyone claiming Asylum would need to provide documents to prove their identity, nationality, and any relevant information supporting their claim, including travel documents, birth certificates, and any evidence of persecution
Essential Documents:
Passports and Travel Documents:
Their passport and any other travel documents they possess.
Identification Documents:
This includes identity cards, birth certificates, marriage certificates, and school records.
Evidence of Persecution:
Any evidence that supports your claim of persecution, such as police reports, medical records, or other relevant documentation.
Proof of UK Address:
If they are already in the UK, they will need documents to prove their address, such as a utility bill, bank statement, or tenancy agreement.
Other Relevant Documents:
Police Registration Certificate: If they have one.
Any other documents that may help their application: This could include documents related to their previous country, such as household bills or vehicle licence documentation.
Documentation of any previous asylum claims:
Documentation of their travel route to the UK
Medical evidence
Anything else that may help their application
Important Notes:
To Claim Asylum anyone who is claiming Asylum would have to...
Be Honest and Thorough: It's crucial to provide accurate and complete information in their asylum application.
Keep Copies: Make copies of all the documents they submit to the Home Office for their records.
Seek Legal Advice: If they are unsure about the asylum process or the documents they need, it's advisable to seek legal advice from a qualified immigration lawyer.
If they are already in the UK, they must call the asylum registration appointment line to book a screening appointment.
During the screening interview, they will be asked some basic questions, such as their name, date of birth, nationality, race/ethnicity/tribal group, languages they speak, their religion, occupation (in their home country) and about their family members.

Migration to the UK is out of control
UK Borders now need to be closed for the next 5 Years and Migrants should not even be allowed to enter the UK if they have come across Illegally by Boat or in Lorries ...
Illegal Migrants need to be turned back using the same method as the Smuggling Gangs are currently using (taxi boats) to get them into the Boats by picking them up when they wade out into the Sea (So the Smugglers can pick them up and get them to the boats. So the Smugglers & the Migrants are not touching the French Shore when the Smugglers pick them up.
At the time of writing this Blog, the French have not changed the law prohibiting the French police from tackling a migrant boat once it has entered the water.
The French Police could try to disable the Boats by shooting at the Base of the Boat(s) the Migrants will be using before they get in or while it is in shallow waters.
If the French Government put into place the Ban information below from my previous Blog, then they could do what we have been paying them Billions to do.
If the British used TAXI BOATS to STOP the Migrants from getting to the British Shores, then we wouldn't have to put them up in Hotels, if the French Government put into place the Ban information below from my previous Blog, then they could do what we have been paying them Billions to do.
Until then, we should be able to return any that do manage to come across to the UK and be repaid out of the Billions the UK have already paid the French Government to stop Migrants from coming to the UK.
For every Migrant, we have to take back to their point of departure (France).
As they have not been very forthcoming with the information that their hands were tied due to the Ban they knew about, which until they remove the Ban, which is stopping the French Police from tackling a Migrant Boat, they should agree to us taking them back to French Shores.
Exert from Blog: France Set To Lift Ban On Police Stopping Migrant Boats At Sea Crossing To UK Shores From 2025... First Published March 3rd 2025
The French government is set to lift a ban on stopping migrant boats at sea for the first time in an effort to reduce illegal Channel crossings.
Bruno Retailleau, the French interior minister, met Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary of Britain, on Thursday 2 February 2025.
Said that he was seeking a law change to allow migrants to be tackled out of boats in shallow water and was considering a variety of legal changes to step up enforcement against small boats.
The rule change will allow police to use their own boats for the first time to take on people-smugglers carrying migrants to the UK on overloaded vessels.
French law at the time of writing this Blog prohibits the police from tackling a migrant boat once it has entered the water, leaving officers only able to launch a rescue operation.
People-smuggling gangs have begun using “taxi boats”, which remain in the water and collect migrants from beaches in Northern France.
The tactic allows smugglers to evade capture, forcing police to conduct rescue operations rather than arrest the perpetrators.
Detention Hubs!
I have just read on the Internet that Labour plans to send Asylum Seekers 1,000 miles away.
A Proposed plan would house Asylum Seekers in proper detention facilities, not Hotels.
?? Why can't they do this on a disused Airfield with Security Lighting and Security guarding the Migrants then, Process the Asylum Seekers and set up repatriation agreements with their Country of origin and, deport them back to their Country Of Origin..
Labour is exploring plans to send failed Asylum Seekers over 1000,00 miles away to detention centres in the Western Balkans.
The idea involves setting up a network of return hubs overseas. where Migrants who have been refused Asylum in the UK would be held after exhausting all legal routes to stay.
The government is considering approaching Countries like Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and North Macedonia as part of a wider crackdown on illegal migration and small boat crossings.
A government source said this is clearly a shared challenge right across the world, and we have always said this.
International problem needs an international solution.
That's why we're looking at the widest possible set of options with a completely open mind.
Some of the Migrants sent to these Hubs could include those from Countries the UK doesn't currently have return agreements with.
This could mean that people from-
Afghanistan, Iran or Serbia could be relocated even though the UK can't deport them directly and some so-called safe countries kike Pakistan, Vietnam and India could also be held temporarily while the UK arranges their removal.
Two empty Migrant Centres in Albania could be used, these have existing facilities and infrastructure that could help to speed negotiations.
Labour hopes the threat of being relocated to an offshore centre will discourage Migrants from making dangerous crossings and reduce pressure on the UK's accommodation system- where more than 38,000+ people are currently living in Hotels.
Labour needs to stop Asylum and just send them ALL back to their country of Origin via the hubs-
Could this be Just A Smokescreen?
Migrants are just taking jobs from UK people and making the country more dangerous.
Mass Migration is a threat to daily life.

Psychological Harm To Migrants????
What about the Psychological Harm the Government is causing the UK Public by allowing the Migrants to come to the UK and not removing them immediately and letting them stay and housing them immediately? Which is bankrupting Britain.
Psychological Harm to The Legal Britsh Citizens.
Migrants are causing the British Public Psychological Harm... Can we fine them and imprison all of them?
Extended Free Holiday
At the Expense of the British Tax Payer, who has to pay more Tax to now keep Millions of Illegal Migrants to pay for their Accommodation etc But Also has to pay for all their own expenses such as Mortgage or Rent
Food for themselves and their family if they can afford to have one. And the Government wonders why the Birth Rate of White British People is so low.
Utility Bills such as Heating, Water….
Travel To Work Expenses
Entertainment if they can afford it.
Because the Migrants are coming across in Boats, they are, in effect getting an extended Holiday as they are given FREE Accommodation (heated), food And Spending Money, and now we are keeping them occupied and entertained for FREE. So even though they pay to come over here, that is peanuts compared to the FREEBIES they also get, e.g Tennis Lessons, etc
So they will probably also come over in a boat as the cost they pay to smugglers is peanuts, and now they will be getting discounts off the cost of their crossing from the People Smugglers for advertising their journey across the Channel to the UK. The British Government will be a laughing stock, and the British Citizens will feel let down and like complete mugs.
We need to take care of all our Legal British Citizens first as a priority. The homeless, the veterans, and all the British Citizens whose families have lived here for Centuries and those who were given Asylum legally before all these illegal migrants started to come across by boats, etc.
What migrants get for free **out of the Taxes British Citizens have paid
And what the British Public have to pay for Housing etc including Estimated Costs Out of their own money!
**(Which Taxpayers pay out of the Tax taken out of their Wages and the extra taxes we all have to pay on everything we buy petrol clothing etc
Items Migrants Get For Free | Cost the British Public Has to Pay In Taxes £ | What the British People have to Pay to pay for e.g Housing, feed their families... | Cost the British Public Have to Pay £ |
Free Accommodation Hotels | Approx £150.00 a night | House Or Flat | Rent for a 2 Bed House is about £100.00 a week (£400.00 a Month) |
Free Heating | Free | Electric & Gas Bills | The average Bill for Dual Fuel is £200.00 a Month |
Free FOOD | £49.18 per person for self-catered accommodation, or £8.86 if accommodation provides meals | Weekly Food Shop bought at a Supermarket | £100.00+ a Week £400.00+ a Month |

Free School Meals | FREE | School Meals | School meals typically cost around £12.75 per week or £2.55 per day and are paid for online through systems like School Money or MCAS, with Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 pupils eligible for universal free school meals |
Early years childcare for their children. | Early years childcare for their children | Working parents can access funded early years childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years, with 15 hours a week |
How British Citizens who have worked hard all their lives and provided for their families have struggled to make ends meet and then are seeing the Current Government is letting Migrants stay in the UK and putting them up in Hotels, giving them money for expenses and British Citizens are finding the constant influx of Migrants coming across difficult to accept as they are getting everything given to them for Free as soon as they come across to the UK.
And, British Citizens feel they have to jump through hoops to get housed; or be given benefits especially when they have worked and paid taxes then feel like they have to justify why they should be given help for example when they lose their job or become ill.
Those who are working feel hard done by when they have to pay for everything, and then Migrants who have come across after paying the People Smugglers are given everything for free, and British Citizens are just expected to accept everything that has been happening over the last few years.
Migrants coming to the UK on Boats had left their own country of origin and come across to the UK even though they had passed through many countries and not claimed asylum before they arrived in France and have then paid the smugglers to come across on the boats supplied and have been informed by the people smugglers on what to say to obtain financial benefits from the UK whilst at the same time some of them have discarded any form of ID so they can't be identified, and sent back to their Country of origin also, most Migrants have made themselves intentionally homeless by leaving their own country to come to the UK for Economic gain and many are not genuine refugees fleeing war-torn countries as they would have tried to obtain asylum in a nearby country to their own country of origin. If a British Citizen made themselves homeless intentionally or otherwise, they would not be housed as quickly as Migrants are at the present time.
Questions and Answers from British Citizens
I found scrolling the Internet...
Why is it that the British government can spend £8 million pounds on keeping illegal immigrants in hotels every day yet can't afford to use that money on building social housing for poorly paid British people instead?
Absolutely bang on the nail there. Maggie Thatcher decided that social housing was a waste of money. So, she made it possible for tenants to buy them at greatly reduced prices and prevented local authorities from replacing them, allegedly to reduce taxation.
Why are we, the British taxpayers, spending millions of pounds a year to fund the lives of illegal immigrants who often do not share the same values of the British public?
I personally think it is a disgrace that we are paying this much.
My concern is that arriving in the UK without proper documentation is a criminal offence, which is being ignored.
All the small boats are carrying people escaping from France.
The reason they are desperate to get to the UK is that the UK is a soft touch.
They get free accommodation, GP visits, and free dentistry (which no UK citizens can get)
Free advice on what to say to the immigration people, free legal aid to defend deportation, and their cases to the ECHR are all free for them.
We’ve had many people arriving from France who are Albanian and other safe countries, and several examples of those claiming to be homosexual saying they will be persecuted, going on to rape women, we’ve had fake conversions to Christianity.
And simply for mentioning this, I am likely to be accused of being a far-right thug.
We are blind to the fact that the UK is a small country. Whether the government has delusions of grandeur regarding size - who knows?
We think in a very short-term way.
Today’s and yesterday’s illegal immigrant
Numbers are not going to stop, they will go on month after month, year after year.
Those who come encourage others to follow, the internet informs people from across the world of our incompetence to stop it.
Of course, politicians shrug and think the problems to come will be someone else’s problems in the future. This ‘international law’ stuff is a never-ending excuse to do nothing.
It is unenforceable, and more countries (except UK) are realising that their immigrants take more than they give, want to alter the culture to that of their own, and have low regard for women with rights and freedom.
It is admirable for those brave countries to stand up against these invisible international lawyers whose only interest is their pay packet and status. Wars are here to stay. Humans are warlike creatures. If more and more countries empty their populations into fewer and fewer countries then that will cause only more and wider spread wars.
Because it's an invasion and we should be at war, but instead we're appeasing are invaders, rather than pushing them out.
Meanwhile. they are engaged in a terror campaign on women and children, while the moron government talks of peace between communities, it's gone well beyond that, we should be mobilising now!
Why are there are 10,000 foreign criminals blocking up space in our jails? Why aren't they being removed and deported, simultaneously saving the British taxpayer billions of pounds every year, and having the support of millions of British voters?

ASYLUM SEEKERS INFO ON
WHAT THEY ARE GIVEN
In 2025, asylum seekers in hotels, particularly those receiving "contingency accommodation" (often hotels or B&Bs), are provided with meals as part of their accommodation, and they receive a weekly cash allowance for other essential needs like clothing, toiletries, and travel, as well as access to NHS healthcare, and potentially free school meals and early years childcare for their children.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Asylum Seekers:
Accommodation:
The Home Office may provide accommodation, either in initial accommodation centres or longer-term dispersal accommodation.
Financial Support:
In the UK, asylum seekers receive a weekly financial support of £49.18 per person for self-catered accommodation, or £8.86 if accommodation provides meals, to cover essential needs like food, clothing, and toiletries
NHS Healthcare:
Asylum seekers have free access to the NHS for medical care, including seeing a doctor or receiving hospital treatment.
Other Entitlements:
May be eligible for free prescriptions, dental care, eyesight tests, and vouchers for glasses.
Children may be eligible for free school meals and 15 hours of free early years childcare (for children aged two to five).
Refused Asylum Seekers:
Even if asylum is refused, some services remain free of charge, including treatment in an accident and emergency department, for many communicable diseases, and for conditions caused by certain types of violence.
No Recourse to Public Funds:
Asylum seekers and other migrants may have "no recourse to public funds," meaning they are not automatically entitled to mainstream benefits like Universal Credit or Housing Benefit.
Refugee Integration Loan:
Refugees may be eligible for a refugee integration loan to help with rent deposits, household items, education, or training.
General Migrants:
NHS Surcharge:
Migrants who are not ordinarily resident in the UK must pay an immigration health surcharge to access NHS services.
Social Housing:
Most recent migrants, including asylum seekers, are not eligible to apply for social housing.
Benefits:
Migrants may be eligible for certain benefits, such as Universal Credit, Pension Credit, or Housing Benefit, depending on their circumstances and visa status.
Grants:
Many grant-giving charities may help people regardless of immigration and residence status.
Important Notes:
The rules on benefit entitlements for migrants are complex, and it's advisable to seek independent advice if needed.
The information provided here is a general overview, and specific situations may vary.

Hotel rooms are used in certain circumstances to house asylum seekers. The Home Office has said this has been necessary to meet its legal obligations to those eligible for support at times when there is not enough space across the rest of the asylum accommodation estate. However, successive governments have stated the use of hotels is temporary and it is their policy to end reliance on them. This briefing outlines the approach of various governments to meet this commitment.
However, the number of asylum seekers accommodated in hotels has continued to remain high compared to the numbers in March 2020. This is illustrated by figures published by the Home Office on the number of asylum seekers being accommodated in hotels since March 2023.14 Jan 2025
How long do refugees stay in hotels in the UK?
The average length of stay for individuals in contingency hotels
is 6 to 12 months.
They may also be moved from the hotel to other accommodation elsewhere whilst their application is being assessed.

The issue of homelessness in the UK and the acceptance of asylum seekers and refugees is a complex and multifaceted topic. Here are some key points to consider:
Humanitarian Responsibility
Many people believe that countries have a moral obligation to protect those fleeing persecution, war, and violence. Asylum seekers and refugees are often in desperate situations and require immediate safety and support.
Legal Obligations
The UK is a signatory to international agreements, such as the 1951 Refugee Convention, which obligates it to provide asylum to individuals who meet the criteria for refugees.
Economic Considerations
Asylum seekers can contribute to the economy by filling labour shortages, especially in sectors facing workforce challenges. Many refugees bring skills and talents that can benefit the economy.
Misconceptions About Resources
There is often a perception that resources are finite and that supporting asylum seekers detracts from addressing homelessness. However, many argue that these issues can be tackled simultaneously through effective policy and resource allocation.
Social Integration
Successful integration of refugees can lead to vibrant, diverse communities and can help counteract social isolation. Programs designed to support both homeless individuals and refugees can promote social cohesion.
Systemic Issues
The homelessness crisis is often rooted in systemic issues such as lack of affordable housing, mental health challenges, and economic inequality. Addressing these root causes can help both the homeless population and new arrivals.
Public Perception and Policy
Public opinion on asylum seekers varies widely, with some viewing them as a burden and others as a valuable part of society. Policymakers often have to balance these views while addressing the needs of all vulnerable populations.
Conclusion
Addressing homelessness and supporting asylum seekers are not mutually exclusive. Effective governance requires a comprehensive approach that recognizes the dignity and needs of all individuals, whether they are long-term residents or newly arrived refugees.
Information On Deportation:
Foreign prisoners in the UK may not be deported back to their countries of origin for several reasons:
Legal and Human Rights Issues: Deportation must comply with international law and human rights obligations. If a prisoner faces persecution or inhumane treatment in their home country, they may be protected under asylum or human rights laws.
Length of Sentences: Foreign prisoners serving long sentences may not be deported until they have served a significant portion of their time, and some may appeal against deportation.
Lack of Travel Documents: If a prisoner doesn’t possess valid travel documents or if their home country is uncooperative in issuing these documents, deportation can be delayed or complicated.
Bilateral Agreements: The UK may have agreements with certain countries that affect the deportation process, including requirements for the receiving country to accept deported nationals.
Administrative Delays: The process of deportation involves legal, administrative, and logistical steps that can take considerable time, leading to prisoners remaining in the UK system longer than anticipated.
Judicial Challenges: Foreign prisoners may challenge their deportation through the courts, which can result in lengthy legal proceedings.
Public Safety and Risk Assessments: Authorities conduct risk assessments to determine if deportation is appropriate, considering the potential risk to public safety and the likelihood of re-offending upon return.
These factors contribute to the complexity of managing foreign prisoners in the UK justice system, often resulting in their continued incarceration rather than immediate deportation.
Why are foreign prisoners kept in UK prisons
and not deported back to their country of origin?
Imprisonment may not automatically imply deportation
The sentence of the court is imprisonment in the British prison system. In order to allow prisoners to be returned home, we must be certain that the prison system in the receiving country is willing to take the prisoner and hold them for a period defined by the British sentencing court - which has significant costs - and, on the other hand, that it also conforms to the standards of the British prison system. Many other countries treat prisoners in a way that would not be acceptable in Britain, and the sentence of the court was for imprisonment under British standards. We cannot send a prisoner to a country where either they will be able to pay (legally or illegally) for early release or release-like conditions, or where they will be beaten up or otherwise maltreated. Verifying this is a complicated problem. It does sometimes occur with other culturally similar countries, but not often.

Can foreign prisoners apply for asylum while incarcerated in the UK?
QUESTION THIS INFORMATION...
Accommodation support provided to asylum seekers
Under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, the home secretary is required to provide accommodation and subsistence support to all destitute asylum seekers whilst their asylum claims are being decided. A person is destitute if they do not have adequate accommodation or any means of obtaining it, or if they have adequate accommodation or the means of obtaining it but cannot meet their other essential living needs.[1]
And then ask yourselves the following Questions
Then Ask The Government & also Write To Your Local MP’s with the same questions…
Why is the British government housing illegal immigrants, sometimes for about a year at great expense but not homeless British Citizens?
The British government's policy of housing asylum seekers, sometimes for extended periods, while seemingly at odds with the needs of homeless individuals, stems from a legal obligation to provide basic accommodation while asylum claims are processed, alongside a broader strategy of managing migration and borders.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Legal Obligation:
The UK has a legal obligation to provide basic accommodation and financial support to asylum seekers while their claims are being assessed.
Asylum Claim Processing:
The government aims to process asylum claims efficiently, but the process can take time, leading to extended stays in accommodation.
"Hostile Environment" Policy:
The government has implemented policies aimed at deterring irregular migration, including making it more difficult for migrants to access housing and other services.
Homelessness Policy:
Homelessness policy is a devolved responsibility, meaning each nation (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) has its own approach.
Dispersal:
The Home Office disperses asylum seekers to areas where accommodation is cheaper, often resulting in them being housed in hotels or hostels, which can lead to high costs.
No Recourse to Public Funds:
Many migrants, including those who have been refused asylum, are subject to "no recourse to public funds," meaning they are ineligible for social housing or benefits.
Prioritization of Asylum Seekers:
While asylum seekers are not automatically prioritized for housing, they are entitled to accommodation and support while their claim is being considered.
Migrant Homelessness:
The government's policies have been criticized for contributing to migrant homelessness, as they can create barriers to accessing housing and other services.
Costs:
The government has faced criticism for the high costs associated with housing asylum seekers, particularly in hotels and hostels.
Ongoing Debate:
There is ongoing debate about the effectiveness and fairness of the government's policies on asylum seekers and homelessness.
Do Asylum seekers receive free housing & food in Britain? If not, what is the process for those who don’t qualify for welfare support?
In the UK, asylum seekers can receive support from the Home Office for housing and basic living expenses while their asylum claim is being considered, but they are not automatically entitled to free housing or mainstream welfare benefits
It's now become clear that asylum seekers are given social housing priority ahead of our own citizens.
That's a legitimate question that many politicians are afraid to answer in case the answer they give results in calls of ‘racist’. Basically the United Nations states that refugees have a basic set of rights in whatever UN country they arrive in. The right to a safe place to stay, food and access to healthcare. What the UN resolution doesn't say is who is going to pay for all this, ultimately meaning the taxpayer will foot the bill.
This has inevitably resulted in the system being abused and exploited. When boatloads of Africans and Indians are also turning up, not fleeing a war but fleeing poverty or looking for a more comfortable life, then the simplicity of the wording becomes clouded. I'm sure there are lots of politicians who want to speak their minds but dare not for fear of accusations of racism by the woke elements or losing their jobs.
In Poland, for example, they are not afraid of defying the UN and refusing entry to immigrants who try and enter without permission. A lot of British people would like to do the same, but where do you send them once they have set foot on British soil?
Many of them arrive via France, and the French certainly don't want them back. It's very difficult to repatriate someone who doesn't want to go or who refuses to admit where they are from. There are laws governing forcibly returning someone to a place if they argue they will be in danger. Attempts to send people to Rwanda for processing have been met with howls of protest by human rights groups and immigration lawyers. The only way out of this is for the UK to either ignore the UN resolutions or resign from the UN.
Now put yourself in the position of a homeless person, knowing that this is going on
You would feel like you don't matter, and your government considers people who turned up on a beach in a dinghy yesterday to be more important than you are.
Obviously, it's not as straightforward as that. Also, some homeless people have not helped themselves either by having substance abuse issues or being anti-social, meaning nobody wants them on their property for fear of them misbehaving.
However, for the substantial number of homeless who just need a second chance and to be given a break, this must be a smack in the face.
The only answer is to radically rethink what is important and to make changes that are going to upset people.
Why? Is this provided for Asylum seekers and all Migrants when they come across to the UK Illegally on Boats without their Passports and other IDs on their person as they have?
They have thrown their I.D. and Mobile Phones into the Sea ??
So these Migrants are not coming over as Refugees they Are coming because they know they will get
FREE Benefits
They are Criminals and have committed Crimes in their own Country Of Origin.
Commercial reasons, money.
Migrants and Asylum Seekers are housed in heated accommodation and are given food 3 times a day. With televisions to watch. Also, spending money.
And they are now been given freebies to keep them entertained.
FREE!
Tennis Lessons.
Driving Lessons & Tests.
DJ lessons.
Trips to the Zoo.
Visits to Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.
Friendship services.
Sandwich deliveries.
Bus passes in Bristol.
Instead of giving them Freebies to keep them entertained, Migrants should be given work to do, like cleaning the streets, etc, to pay for the cost of their accomodation, etc.
They should have to pay into the system for at least 10 years before they are allowed to claim any benefits if they get Asylum. As it is costing the UK Billions to House them.
But we have Homeless people on our streets. Some, are Veterans from the Army, Navy, etc, who have served our Country, but they are not given a place to live or Food and living expenses. And have to live out in the open.
Various charities help some of the Homeless. There, should not be a need for them in this day and age, especially in 2025 they should be a priority. Not those who have come across illegally in boats, who should all be returned to their Country of origin. As it would be better economically for the UK
There are 280,000 homeless people in the UK. Why do we think that it is okay to keep taking in asylum seekers and refugees? Some of these may be Migrants who were deported and didn't leave the UK.
There are approximately 148,000 Illegal Migrants who have come to the UK from 2018 to 2024, and more have come to date in 2025.
Check out the information below,
How many homeless people will there be in the UK in 2025
In 2025, it's estimated that at least one in 160 people in England will be homeless, with a sharp rise in people sleeping rough and families in temporary accommodation.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Rising Homelessness:
Shelter's analysis of official figures and Freedom of Information requests indicates that homelessness is on the rise, with one in 160 people in England now experiencing it.
Temporary Accommodation:
A record number of households, including 123,100, are living in temporary accommodations, with 159,380 children affected.
Rough Sleeping:
The number of people sleeping rough on the streets is also increasing, with nearly 4,000 people sleeping rough on a single night in 2023.
Increased Spending:
The UK government is allocating a record £1 billion in 2025-26 to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping.
Youth Homelessness:
It's estimated that almost 136,000 young people aged 16-24 were homeless or at risk of homelessness in 2022/23.
Crisis UK:
Crisis UK states that the number of people sleeping rough is now 61% higher than it was ten years ago and 120% higher than when data collection began in 2010.
Homelessness in England:
In the year ending March 2023, 298,430 households in England qualified for help from their local authority for homelessness, up by 18,960 (6.8%) on the previous year.
Refugee & Migrant Homelessness in March 2025 will probably be included in the National Figure for Homeless including Legal British Citizens!!! Possibly living on the streets of the UK.
Between 2018 and December 2024, approximately 148,000 people arrived in the UK via small boats across the English Channel, with 95% of them applying for asylum.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Small Boat Arrivals:
The number of asylum seekers arriving in small boats across the Channel has significantly increased since 2018, when this route was rarely used.
Asylum Claims:
Around 95% of those arriving via small boats have applied for asylum.
Total Number of Arrivals:
Between 2018 and December 2024, around 148,000 people arrived in small boats.
Asylum Claims:
These individuals accounted for nearly one third (29%) of the total number of people who applied for asylum in the UK between 2018 and 2024.
Returns:
Between 2018 and September 2024, there have been 4,420 returns of people who arrived by small boat, 3% of all small boat arrivals during this time.
Recent Trends:
In the year ending September 2024, there were 29,851 people detected arriving by small boats
Conclusion:
Britain cannot afford to keep shelling out Billions to Look after all the Illegal Migrants that have come across and continue to ignore All the Legal British Citizens who have paid into the Tax system for years!
We need to Re-Build Britain and look after our....
British Citizens, Homeless and Our Veterans
Build a Solid, Secure Future for British Families and their Children.
British Citizens shouldn't be pushed to one side so....
We need to send back all Illegal Migrants who came across to Britain in the last 5 years and any that come across in the future, including all those who were deported and never left, all the Prisoners in our Prisons who committed Crimes in the UK. Then we need to CLOSE Our Borders For FIVE Years Minimum and rebuild Britain for Legal British Citizens.
Leave the ECHR and possibly the UN.
The ECHR is still telling us how to run our Country and Expecting us to accommodate a Mass Invasion of Migrants.
Migrants are just taking jobs from UK people and making the country more dangerous.
Mass Migration is a threat to daily life.
Crime Stats
Problems in the Labour Market
Insecurity In Local Communities with the most vulnerable who experience the consequences...
There is now an added problem in the UK!
If there is a continued Mass Invasion Of Migrants coming across the English Channel from France-
Who are then housed in Hotels...and Those who are already in the Hotels have Asylum hearings, which may go on for years. If those claiming refugee Status are accepted and given papers to stay. They will then have 28 days to leave their Accommodation.
If they can't find a Home within 28 days, they will then be homeless. The same will apply to Migrants applying for Asylum who will also end up on the streets if they are refused and told to leave the UK and then go underground and don't leave. Adding to the ever-increasing homeless people already on the streets.
To Date, over 150,000 people have arrived in the UK after crossing the English Channel in small boats, but there is now an increase in Homelessness among Refugees and Migrants.
Refugees have not been able to find a Home because no suitable housing has been available. Have had to leave the accommodation they were living in while they were applying for Asylum.
Migrants who have been refused Asylum and have been asked to leave the UK who have gone to ground and are now living on the streets.
Then the cycle continues... More Migrants in Hotels, etc.
More Refugees & Migrants on the Streets...
Refugees and Migrant Homeless are now adding to the Legal British Citizen homeless figures.
We can't keep taking in any more Migrants.
As they will keep coming over and we don't have the Land space to accomodate a constant infux of Migrants. Also as most of them will not have jobs and will end up on benefits if their claim for Asylum is accepted. And possibly some will have Health Problems and will be on long term Sickness Benefits.
Those who do find Jobs may well not be earning enough to pay tax. So they won't be contributing to the Economy and may also be claiming Housing benefits because their Income is too low.
The UK won't have enough funds to sustain everybody, and there is also the effect it is having on our Current infrastructure at the moment and also long term.
We don't have enough land to build on and can't build on Green Belt Land as we would need that for Farming for Food and Animal Feed. As it would cost too much to import and as more and more Migrants come across the need for Food etc will increase Massively.
Also, Grass Fields, Trees etc, are needed to soak up CO2!
Repatrtiate All Migrants who have Come across Illegally by Boat.
Mass Migration is killing this Country. We need Controlled Immigration, but before that, we need to close our borders for 5 years. We also need to be able to deport the following Migrants as a matter of urgency-
Paedophiles/Rapists...who can't be deported because they say that it will affect their Mental Health
What about the Mental Health of the victims whom they attacked?
We need to process every Migrant who comes over quickly by putting them in Buildings and take Photo's, Fingerprints and possibly DNA for proof that they have already been over to the UK before for Asylum in case they try to come back over in a Boat in the future!
Then, contact the Countries they are all coming from and repatriate every single Migrant that has come across in a Boat supplied by People Smugglers.
We should not pay them Thousands to leave
As they didn't apply to come here legally and they were not asked to come to the UK. Most have just come across are Economic Migrants and some will be Criminals who have committed crimes in their own country of origin.
ALL Migrants who have committed crimes currently in our Jails should be sent back to their Country Of Origin.
This should also include any 2nd or 3rd Generation whose Parents or grandparents were given Asylum here and whose Children were born in the UK and who then went on to commit any Crimes. Being born here should not give them any protection.
This will then reduce the pressure on our Jails in the UK. Agreements should be put in place with their Country Of Origin.
The UK voted for Brexit. Now, they will vote for Political Leaders who promise to put an end to out-of-control mass Migration!
Who will follow it through till they get the result the British Citizens want?
No Unwanted Mass Invasion of their Country and their Culture and their British Culture that encompasses the shared beliefs, values, behaviours, and practices of a group of people, including their language, traditions, arts, and social structures, learned and transmitted across generations in Great Britain!
Each of the four countries – England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales – has its own unique history, culture and in some cases, laws. Each country also has its own flag and patron saint, with a special day and celebrations.
We should not allow other Religions to overthrow our Religion or Culture or to change our laws and our way of life to suit those who come across to Britain. We should not have to change Britain in any way to suit those who want to come to the UK!
Those who want to come to the UK
Should ask themselves the following Questions!!!
If their Country is so Bad
Why Did They Make the Journey Here?
If they feel they have to change our Religion or Culture or to change our laws and our way of life, why did you come here if the UK is so bad.
They need to go back to their Country Of Origin if they think their way of life is so good!
We should return all those who came over by Boat with the help of the People. Smugglers.
We should not have to give Asylum or Citizenship to those who come across by boat to the UK illegally
If they had done that Centuries ago, they would all have been shot for trying to enter the UK illegally. As they would have been classed as Invaders'
What is so different now?
Our Country will then be able to rebuild, and we will not be paying out Billions for Years to Illegal Migrants!
The only Cut we should be making is Illegal Mass Migration. The Only people we should be paying is Legal British Citizens.

People also ask
Is the UK still bound by ECHR?
Brexit was about leaving the EU. It did not impact the Council of Europe, so the UK still has to follow the ECHR and judgments from the European Court of Human Rights.
